I have lived a coastal lifestyle for over 35 years, spending time at the beach and watching the waves crashing onto the sand and the play of light on the water and through the waves. This is what inspires me to paint.

My current work zooms into shells on the beach, the bubbles in the ocean foam and sparkles on the waves. I work in a few different series, which helps me to stay focussed. I’m inspired by my surroundings, so if the little Sunbirds are nesting outside my studio they are also added to my repertoire.
